Summer is here!

Nana came to visit the weekend of June 1st, since Daddy was on a golf trip.  One of our goals was to cut Max's hair while she was here.  If you read the previous post, you can see that Max does not like to get his hair cut.  We were hoping that doing it at home, with familiar people would make the event less stressful for everyone.  However, Max still cried throughout the entire haircut!  

Mommy's last day of school was Wednesday June 6th, so we can officially say summer is here!  Max was able to come to school with me for the two hours I had to be there.  He had fun playing with the other kids who came to school that day.  I was a little worried about getting a few last minute things done in my room, but Max did great and I got everything done.  We left school and stopped off at the park to celebrate.

Big Boy Haircut!

With the warm weather here we decided it was time to finally cut off Max's flowing locks!  He has my thick head of hair and the two times we previously cut it, we only just trimmed it up.  I just couldn't bear taking it all off and I didn't think my baby would look the same! 

Well the day came, and we knew from Max's #2 haircut that it probably wasn't going to be a fun experience.  And it wasn't!

He cried the ENTIRE time to the point of throwing up!  It was awful for him and us!  Luckily, the stylist was great about it and she said it happens all the time.

We took Max for a happy meal afterwards and all is good!

Time for update...you think?!?!?

Well I knew this blog was out there somewhere, but I have obviously lost track of time! I get jealous when I see friends blog's with these great posts about their kids and then it motivates me to stay on top of it, but I just can't seem to do it!

So it is March and we have been enjoying this amazing weather Mother Nature has given us!  Max has changed so much since I last posted! He is going to be 18 months old a week from today.  He can now say about 20 words, including some sign language and animal sounds!  He can say night-night, Nana, Mama, Dada, Ace just to name a few!  He loves playing with his farm animals, reading books and anything with music!  We are looking forward to the summer and taking him on all kinds of adventures!  I hope to enroll us in a Move to the Music class and swim lessons.

In other news to report, Bill suffered a career ending soccer injury a few weeks back and is finally just starting to have full range of motion back in his right knee.  Luckily, he did not have to have surgery, but will probably just have a "bum" knee for the rest of his life.
